Niou Lan River Waterfront Park
Donganli, Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County
When you come to Guanxi, you must visit the beautiful Niou Lan River. Niou Lan River Waterfront Park, built along the riverbank, is lined with flowers in full bloom in April. The purple Chinaberry flowers sway with the breeze, seemingly like a purple cloud over the treetops from afar. The blooming flowers exude a pleasant fragrance, transforming the riverbanks with a dreamy allure. Walking along the riverside trail, you can also see a section of the fish ladder that helps fish to migrate upstream. This only serves water infrastructure purposes but also helps maintain the local ecology.

Siliao River Outdoor Ecology Classroom
No. 35, Chu 28 Township Road, Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County
Distance from resort:8.9 km,14 minutes by car
The Siliao River, which runs through the Dongshan community, was originally an unnamed wild river, but under the community's careful management, it has now become an outdoor ecological classroom without walls. Te-Tsai Wang, who is now a community planner in Hsinchu County and a guide for the Wilderness Protection Association, said that the flora and fauna of the Siliao River Trail are quite diverse, with a variety of plants along the way, and volcanic agglomerate and rare Guanxi black rocks can be seen in the riverbed.
The artificially improved educational area has a gentle trail set up by natural methods, which is not only convenient for visitors, but also will not damage the local ecology. There are interpretation signs along the trail, so you can easily recognize the surrounding ecology.

Du’nan Historic Trail
Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County
Distance from resort:7.7 km,13 minutes by car
The 600-meter-long Du’nan Historic Trail is located on the south side of the Fengshan River in Guanxi Township. "It was a passage of daily life of our ancestors," said Mei-Chin Mou, director of the Guanxi Township Rural Culture Association. Before the construction of two bridges, the Duchuantou Bridge and the Nanshan Bridge, it was the main road for local residents to enter and leave Guanxi. After the convenience brought about by the bridge, the historic trail was hardly used anymore. The historic trail, overgrown and largely forgotten, was discovered about five or six years ago and restored by the volunteers of the Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association and restored by hand. The natural features of the trail have not been destroyed and the trail has become more gentle and easy to follow.
